Education Programs
Why Education?
Every woman and girl no matter where they are has the right to realise their full potential. Issues ranging from security (both real and virtual) and privacy, healthcare and wellness, violence and exploitation, economic inclusion and women’s rights and suffrage can only be effectively addressed for our women via education.
Only education can help them transform and improve their lot in life. Only education can give them the confidence to struggle for themselves and for their families. The Global Gender Gap Report of 2018 states that female enrolment rate in tertiary education was 48% as opposed to 38% among the men. Yet women still remain an underutilised source of talent with a mere 55.2% representation in the labour force. The plus point is that on average they are better educated than men.
IKWAM will advocate on what needs to be done to ensure equal access for women to economic opportunities. Education is the key to unlock their potential and a sustainable future for them, as worthy partners in progress to men, for the nation. It was a dream come true when in November 2019, IKWAM was appointed by the Swiss School of Management (SSM) a university in Bellinzona, Switzerland as their Accredited Partner Institute for the delivery of SSM’s program of studies and sustainably develop the delivery and the promotion the University’s courses throughout South East Asia.
