Our Philosophy

​A woman wears many hats. She is a wife, mother, worker, teacher, caregiver, follower and leader; in short she is many things to many people. She puts others first, all the time, every time, any time – it is her inborn nature. How often do others put her first?  IKWAM’s slogan “Educate a Woman, Empower a Nation” mirrors the Institute’s commitment towards educating our women to realize their full potential to empower their coming generations so they may all have an equal chance at earning a living, protecting their rights and living a more inclusive existence.

​Our women are strong women. Even at their weakest, women are still the strength that glues families, communities and even nations together.  Women need only know their own strength, realize and embrace their own reality to be able to stand alongside their men and create an empowered Malaysia.
